| Neighborhood Description: | Eken Park is a small, quiet neighborhood of single-family homes and small apartment buildings on the near east side of Madison, within walking distance of popular amenities. The neighborhood's modest, architecturally diverse homes are attractive to those young and old, singles and families. The Eken Park Neighborhood Association strives to bring residents together to create and enhance the neighborhood's sense of community. |

| Neighborhood Statistics Indicators: | The Neighborhood Indicators Project is a demonstration of key characteristics and various indicators that relate to the quality of life in Madison at the neighborhood level. Basic neighborhood information as well as housing, public safety, health and family well-being, economic, and transportation indicators by neighborhood is available. |
| Recent Accomplishments: | - Eken Park Neighborhood Association has consulted with City Engineering on plan for bike/pedestrian bridge over Aberg Avenue - Eken Park Neighborhood Association worked to have a bike rack at intersection of East Johnson Street & North Street (North Street Neighborhood Business District) -Eken Park Neighborhood Association established the McCormick Community Garden -A joint effort between Emerson East and Eken Park Neighborhoods, the neighborhoods worked with Madison Police Department to reduce prostitution and harassment complaints in the North Street area through citizen patrols and increased police vigilance -Eken Park Neighborhood Association worked to establish the McCormick dog park |
